Planner's Comments
I hope everyone enjoyed their runs, despite problems caused by the damage to Control 65. My thanks to the unknown early runner who restored the flag and post so that following runners could recognise the control site until we got the replacement control out.
Although there were a number of constraints presented by deer fences, Pamber is a varied area and we tried to take runners through different terrain. The weather has been kind this Autumn and so some blue features were not blue on the day; luckily mud levels were on the low side too.
Special thanks to Paul Wallace-Stock for his excellent and supportive controlling, particularly when we had to amend some courses at very late notice because of forestry work in the month before the event.
My thanks also to Gill Mann for her organisation and to all of the BADO members who gave their time so willingly to put out and take in controls over the weekend.

Controller's Comments
I really enjoyed that ... Good use made of a nice area ... Much better than I expected ... White and Yellow were great for the children.
These are just some of the comments heard at the finish. It makes all of the hard work put in by the BADO team worthwhile when so many enjoyed their courses. My thanks to John Wolinski for all his hard work and some rapid last minute course changes required when a large swathe of the northern part of the map was devastated with forestry work. He tried to avoid the worst of the brashings and a certain amount of gardening prior to the event removed many of the brashings from the immediate vicinity of the affected controls.
There were a couple of comments which require clarification. The fence symbol with 2 short lines does not mean it is an uncrossable fence, it means it is a high fence. It is inadvisable to cross a fence so marked but not illegal unless the other side is marked as OOB. There were also a couple of comments about control 81. Having revisited the site the control was on the correct feature but the contours gave the impression that the feature was lower down the slope than it was in reality. One for the mapper to review. I hope that runners with this control were not unduly inconvenienced.
My thanks to Gill Mann and the rest of the team from BADO who made the day run smoothly, which made my task that much easier and enabled runners to enjoy their time in the forest.
